A: If the Mic can't work in Nintendo, please check below solutions.

• 1, Please make sure that your Switch and the Fortnite are updated to the latest version.
• 2, Make sure the mic is plugged (and volume adjusted to desired level) BEFORE plugging the BTI-036 transmitter.
• 3, Make sure you are close enough to the mic so that the mic can pick up your voice. Normally, the mic is to be used when playing handheld/console mode.
• 4, The Mic only works for the games that support on-line chatting.
• 5, Please activate in-game voice chat. Each game has its own settings. For Fortnite, please check the steps in the picture above.

However, if you plan to do voice chat in Fortnite, please note that Epic has been tweaking the voice chat system lately and voice chat on different mobile platforms are affected periodically. As you can see here: status.epicgames.com

Although Nintendo Switch is not listed as one of the affected platform on the status page, it has been reported that version v8.11 had the problem of Mic being disabled once a USB device was installed, v8.20 fixed this issue, but the latest v8.20.1 brought it back again. Hopefully Epic will have it fixed in the upcoming update.
